AD PAGES NOT NEEDED IN PDF'S
Many editors have told ASME that requiring PDFs to include full-page advertisements will be technically difficult. As a result, ASME has decided to change the submission requirements for the 2010 National Magazine Awards. Full-page ads do not need to be included in the PDFs of the entire issues required for General Excellence, Design, Photography and Single-Topic Issue.
The original requirements can be found in "How to Enter" on page 9 of the Call for Entries. The second sentence of the third paragraph should now read: "PDFs of complete issues must reproduce every editorial page; PDFs need not include full-page advertisements."
