Magazine Publishers of America Announces 22nd Annual Kelly Awards Finalists
Twenty-five Ad Agency Creative Teams Vie for $100,000 Grand Prize

NEW YORK, NY (April 29, 2003) Twenty-five finalists are one step closer to the $100,000 Grand Prize Kelly Award, to be presented by Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) at the Association of National Advertisers' Print Advertising Forum on June 19 in New York City.  The finalists of the Kelly Awards for outstanding magazine advertising were formally announced today by Ellen Oppenheim, Executive Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer, MPA, during the New York Magazine Day festivities.  The Grand Prize is given annually to an advertising agency creative team whose magazine campaign demonstrates both creative excellence and effectiveness.
 The 25 finalists, in alphabetical order, are:

 The Kelly Awards are named for Stephen E. Kelly, a former MPA president who devoted his career to magazine publishing.  He promoted the concept that creative magazine advertising made the difference in sales results--a concept that became the guiding principle for the MPA Kelly Awards.
