Effective with the release of the June 2004 information on Monday, July 12, PIB magazine advertising revenue will be reported only on a national and regional, open rate card basis. All 2003 and first half 2004 PIB revenues reflect this change. The impact of the restatement on full year 2003 is +4.6% and for January-May, 2004 is +4.2%.
Changes were made as part of PIBs ongoing commitment to provide consistent and verifiable data. All publications will now report revenue based on revised PIB guidelines that have removed the ability to report discretionary revenue (e.g. production and manufacturing premiums). The only premiums allowable in the revised guidelines are those for bleed, coloration, regional and demographic editions listed on individual magazine rate cards. Please note that this restatement does not affect page data.
