Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2003. She started her career with editorial internships at Philadelphia magazine, Billboard and Rolling Stone. Before getting her first job as an editorial assistant at More magazine, Dara freelanced for what felt like forever. She took fact-checking gigs at Us Weekly and Golf, and wrote for Print and American Songwriter magazine. She most recently worked as an associate editor at The Knot, writing and editing for their new baby site, TheBump.com. She is stoked to be a part of ASME NEXT because it's such a great way to meet new people in the industry and lend a helping hand. Junior staffers unite!

(It has since folded.) She went on to graduate from Boston University with a degree in journalism, dabbling in both print and broadcast along the way. SInce then she's interned at Cosmopolitan and held various freelance gigs at the likes of mediabistro and marthastewart.com.

Natalie currently writes and edits stories on healthy and safe home issues, news, product trends, budget DIY projects, and more in the magazine's columns, feature well, online website and blog. She earned her master's degree in May 2009 from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. She is excited about the future opportunities to help out fellow junior staffers as she joins the ASME NEXT board and programming committee.

She is so excited to be a part of ASME NEXT because the society helped launch her into New York publishing.
