Hosted annually on Amazon.com, the ASME Best Cover Contest celebrates some of the most exciting work published by magazines—and gives editors a chance to reach millions of new readers. This year the ASME Best Cover Contest honors magazine covers published between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2011.Every magazine cover entered in the ASME Best Cover Contest will be posted on Amazon.com. In the first stage of the contest, media consumers visiting Amazon.com will pick winning covers in these 10 categories:
In the second stage, Amazon.com visitors will choose the Readers' Choice Magazine Cover from the winners in each category, and ASME judges will choose the Cover of the Year.
The Readers' Choice Magazine Cover and the Cover of the Year will be announced the day before the National Magazine Awards Annual Gala at the ASME Annual Meeting on May 2, 2012.
