National Magazine Awards

The deadline for entry for content published before November 1, 2014, is 5 p.m. EST, Monday, November 17, 2014. Entries accepted after the deadline are subject to late fees. The deadline for entry for content published after November 1, 2014—including entries consisting of content published both before and after that date—is 5 p.m. EST, Monday, December 22, 2014. Publications may also revise submitted entries to include content published in November or December. No entries will be accepted after December 22.

Entry fees in most categories are $295 for members of the American Society of Magazine Editors and $395 for nonmembers. To join ASME, email or download a membership application at

The National Magazine Awards honor print and digital publications that consistently demonstrate superior execution of editorial objectives, innovative techniques, noteworthy journalistic enterprise and imaginative art direction. Established in 1966, the awards are sponsored by the American Society of Magazine Editors in association with the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and are administered by ASME.

The National Magazine Awards 2014 were presented at the Annual Dinner at the New York Marriott Marquis on May 1, 2014. The Magazine Editors' Hall of Fame honored Graydon Carter, Editor of Vanity Fair.
