Winners of Inaugural MPA Digital Awards Announced

NEW YORK, NY (February 27, 2007)The winners of the first-ever Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) Digital Awards were announced today at the third annual Magazines 24/7" digital conference in New York City, by Nina Link, President and CEO, MPA, and Colin Crawford, Conference Chairman and SVP, Online, International Data Group.  The 2006 MPA Digital Awards honors excellence and innovation of magazine brands on all digital platforms in 11 categories.

The Website of the Year category recognizes excellence and innovation in content, design, functionality and usability in five sub-categories: Business/News, Fashion, Entertainment/Celebrity, Sports/Enthusiast and Service/Lifestyle.

The inaugural MPA Digital Awards were presented at the Magazines 24/7: Connecting with the Consumer digital summit, a full-day event on helping publishers use a variety of digital platforms to connect with their consumers more effectively and in more meaningful ways. Speakers included David Eun, Google; Deanna Brown, Yahoo!; Holly Moore, Yankelovich; Sarah Fay, Isobar; and a host of digital leaders from the magazine industry. The conference was held at the City University of New York Graduate Center Auditorium in Manhattan.
