NEW YORK, NY (October 22, 2007)—The finalists of the second annual Best Cover Contest organized by American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) were announced today by Marlene Kahan, Executive Director, ASME.
The winners will be revealed on Tuesday, October 30, during the midday conclusion of the American Magazine Conference in Boca Raton, FL. The American Magazine Conference is the premier business summit hosted by Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) and ASME for top-level magazine executives.

The 2007 Best Cover Contest drew 300 entries from 138 magazines. Eligible cover dates of this years entries ranged from August 1, 2006, through July 31, 2007. The Best Coverline honoree was chosen from the entire entry pool. Only members of ASME and MPA were eligible to enter the competition, which was judged by a panel comprised of magazine editors, design directors, art directors and photo editors.
