New York, NY—The award presenters have been named for the joint Lifetime Achievement Awards presentation hosted by Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) and American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME). MPA’s Henry Johnson Fisher Award will be presented to Ann Moore, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Time Inc., by Richard D. Parsons, former Chairman of the Board, Time Warner. Martha Stewart will be inducted into ASME’s Magazine Editors’ Hall of Fame by Matt Lauer, co-anchor of NBC’s “Today.”
Ms. Moore and Ms. Stewart will be honored by the magazine industry at a special lunchtime event on January 29 at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
Ms. Moore will receive an honorarium of $10,000 from Popular Science’s parent company, Bonnier Corporation. (Henry Johnson Fisher was Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Popular Science Publishing Company.) The honorarium will be donated to the Robotics Team at New York City’s Stuyvesant High School. Ms. Moore will also be presented with a Steuben crystal urn.

The Henry Johnson Fisher Award, established in 1964, recognizes individuals who have made significant and longstanding contributions to the magazine publishing industry and society, and who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership, skill and understanding in support of the industry. Henry Johnson Fisher was Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Popular Science Publishing Company. Popular Science is now published by Bonnier Corp. Previous winners have included Cathie P. Black, Hearst Magazines; William T. Kerr, Meredith Corporation; Jack Kliger, Hachette Filipacchi Media US; Edward Lewis, Essence Communications, Inc.; S.I. The Magazine Editors' Hall of Fame Award, established by ASME in 1995, recognizes career-long achievement, excellence and impact of a select group of highly influential magazine editors. Previous winners have included Helen Gurley Brown, Cosmopolitan; Hugh Hefner, Playboy; Stephen Shepard, BusinessWeek; Gloria Steinem, Ms.; and Richard Stolley, Time Inc.
