Ellis Island
The 35th FIPP World Magazine Congress kicked off with an opening reception and dinner at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum in New York Harbor. FIPP delegates were treated to an all-American barbeque in the Registry Hall. At the end of the evening, delegates boarded the ferry shuttle to view a 15-minute fireworks display over Ellis Island before returning to Manhattan.

Museum of Modern Art

The Congress closed with “An Evening of Art and Inspiration (and Fabulous Food and Wine)” at the Museum of Modern Art’s newly-expanded and redesigned space by architect Yoshio Taniguchi. Delegates enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, entrees and desserts from chefs from top New York restaurants amid renowned paintings, drawings, photographs and prints. They were also able to enjoy cocktails in the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden.
