Additionally, the conference features the MPA Digital Awards, which honors digital excellence for consumer magazines.new! a two-day eventFor the first time, "Magazines 24/7" will feature an optional, second day of programming.Day One, themed "Building Audiences, Building Brands," will take place February 27, at New World Stages, 340 W. 50th Street, New York. The facility is constructed on the site of the former Madison Square Garden and features a large common lobby and gallery, two bars and a coat check. It is convenient to hotels, restaurants, parking and public transportation.
Day Two, dubbed "Digital D.C.," delivering the latest information on legal, legislative, and regulatory developments impacting magazines digital products and initiatives, will be held the following morning, February 28, at Hearst Tower, Joseph Urban Theater, 300 West 57th Street, New York. Seating is limited at this venue.
Attendees are encouraged to attend both days of "Magazines 24/7." Attendees of both days will receive a 10% discount off registration.
More than 350 attendees flocked to the 2007 sold-out conference at CUNYs Graduate Center, which featured Googles David Eun, Isobars Sarah Fay, Marketwatch founder Larry Kramer, Martha Stewart Livings Susan Lyne and many other top speakers.
The 2006 Magazines 24/7 conference was held at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in New York. Frank Moss, director of MITs Media Lab, was the keynote speaker. The inaugural Magazines 24/7 conference took place December 2005 at New Yorks American Conference Center and featured John Battelle, Jeff Jarvis and other digital leaders.
