The growth rate of America's workforce is declining at an alarming rate, from 12% this decade to a predicted 4% by 2010. It is imperative that organizations develop strategies on retaining their good talent. With attrition percentages increasing precipitously, it begs the question how do we keep losing our best workers? What are the determining factors that job-seekers use to accept a new position? What makes them stay? 80% of African-Americans and 77% of Hispanics surveyed indicate the opportunity for upward mobility is important. 41% of women, compared to just 26% of men, believe having no flexibility with work hours will turn them away. What are the incentives and strategies that an organization must use to keep their talent regardless of race, gender, or age? Dr. Weaver welcomes special guests Shaunice Hawkins, Director of Diversity Development, Magazine Publishers of America and Elena Richards, Office of Diversity, PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC to provide these answers.
