AMC DAY ONE: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5
The official kick-off of the 2008 American Magazine Conference was a star-studded affair. The evening opened with keynote presentations from Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (pictured, left) as well as Dreamworks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg. Sharing the spotlight were Michael C. Hall, star of the Showtime hit "Dexter," and the cable network's CEO Matthew Blank, on hand to talk about Showtime's unique magazine ad buy to promote the series. AMC Day One also featured the sixth annual Independents' Day programming for indy publishers.

AMC DAY TWO: MONDAY, OCTOBER 6
The first day of General Sessions at the 2008 American Magazine Conference featured keynote presentations from Sheryl Sandberg, COO, Facebook (pictured, left); Tom Rogers, CEO, TiVo; and futurist Paul Saffo. The year's best magazine covers were also revealed. Session topics included: the environmental impact of magazines, the retail landscape, great advertising creative and more.

AMC DAY THREE: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7
The final day of the 2008 American Magazine Conference featured an internview with California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (pictured, left), panel discussions on cause marketing and monetization beyond the ad page, and a field trip to the Google campus to hear from the likes of Google CEO Eric Schmidt and Twitter Chairman Evan Williams.
