DANA FIELDS
Executive Publisher and President, FHM Mens and Entertainment Group
Dana is a music junkie with an astounding collection of 3,000 LPs, 2,000 tapes, more than 1,000 CDs and approximately 1,000 45sshe has the original 45 that she bought when she was a kid for each of the songs on her dance favorites list. She refuses to give up her collection of LPs which she still listens to regularly, and has even converted a closet in her apartment (and we all know how precious closet space is in Manhattan!) to house her extensive collection. Dana decorates her office at FHM with one of her prized possessions, the original poster from Bruce Springsteens appearance at the Bottom Line in New York prior to the release of Born to Run. Her all-time favorite dance songs that everyone loves (but wont admit) include: Lets Hang On by The Four Seasons, Its Raining Men by Weather Girls, Hot Stuff by Donna Summer, I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, Ill Cry if I Want To by Leslie Gore and Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations. While not indulging her passion for music, Dana spearheads the U.S. expansion plans of emap metros mens and entertainment group. Prior to joining emap metro, she was Vice President and Group Publisher of Wenner Media Incorporated, where she had principle operating responsibility for Rolling Stone, Us and Mens Journal magazines.

Satisfaction The Rolling Stones The ultimate rock and roll rebel dance song. This song was banned from my sleep-away camp when I was a girlthe counselors were ordered to turn off the radio when it came on, which only made us want to listen and dance to it even more (which we did secretly in our bunks at night).
September
Earth, Wind and Fire I think I danced to this song at every single party I went to in New York for a time. When this song was on the charts my then boyfriend loved this song and I can remember playing it over and over again and dancing around my apartment. Its impossible to not get up and dance when you hear this song.
Dancing in the Street David Bowie/Mick Jagger I love the Martha and the Vandellas version, but the cover of this song for Live Aid is rock and roll dance music perfection. I remember watching the video during Live Aid, all the while dancing in front of the TV.
Super Freak Rick James
Nothing defines the late 70s and the Studio 54 era in New York City better than this song. A night out in New York in my club days was not complete without a turn on the dance floor to Super Freak.
Hey, Baby Bruce Channel
Every single party I went to at Duke University ended with this songit didnt matter who or what or where, every party ended with this classic hit and everyone danced.
