Revised MPA Environment Handbook
First published in 1996, the MPA Environment Handbook covers environmental topics applicable to the lifecycle of magazine publishing.  This 2007 revision covers a broad range of topics, including certification, global climate change and recycling.

ReMix Comes to NYC Mayor Bloomberg today announced the New York City launch of ReMix - Recycling Magazines is Excellent! - a national public education campaign aimed at increasing residential recycling of magazines and catalogs. Beginning next week, ReMix promotions will appear across New York City, in full-page public service advertisements in consumer magazines including TIME, Cosmopolitan, Country Living and Sports Illustrated as well as on buses and subways, in movie theatres, on cable television, and in other outlets. DMA: The Green 15

The FTC Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims ("Green Guides")
These guides represent administrative interpretations of laws administered by the Federal Trade Commission that specifically address environmental advertising and marketing practices. 

The Envelope Manufacturers Association (EMA)
Envelope Manufacturers Association has launched a “Please Recycle” Program to inform consumers that envelopes, along with magazines, catalogues, and newspapers are recyclable.

EPAT The Environmental Paper Assessment Tool (EPATSM) facilitates communication between producers and buyers of paper and paper products. Specifically, the EPAT helps companies seeking to buy environmentally preferable paper make progress toward their objectives. The Paper Working Group views the EPAT as a tool that establishes consistent language and metrics for working with suppliers.

Earth 911  It is the mission of Earth 911 to empower the public with community-specific resources to improve their quality of life.

The Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) is the voice of Canada's wood, pulp, and paper producers nationally and internationally in government, trade, and environmental affairs. Paperrecycles The Paper Industry Association Council (PIAC) is comprised of 35 allied paper product associations (including MPA) representing the major manufacturers and providers of paper based communications and packaging products.

Sustainable Procurement of Wood and Paper-based Products
Developed by the World Resource Institute (WRI) and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), this guide and resource kit is a useful tool in developing an effective procurement policy for wood and paper products.
