Amy Oelkers Promoted to Associate Publisher of Sales for Real Simple

April 12, 2013 – New York, NYAmy Oelkers was promoted to Associate Publisher of Sales for Real Simple, it was announced today by Charlie Kammerer, Publisher of Real Simple. In her new role, Oelkers will oversee the national sales team for the brand, which was named min’s Sales Team of the Year in 2012. The change is effective immediately and Oelkers will continue to report to Kammerer.

Oelkers joined Real Simple in 2006 as Senior Account Manager and rose the ranks to Eastern Advertising Manager, and then most recently to Sales Director. Previously, Oelkers held sales positions at Hearst Magazines and Condé Nast Publications.

“Amy’s passion and understanding for the brand make her a great partner for me and a strong leader for our team,” said Kammerer. “Real Simple is in a great position to build on its current success, and I look forward to working closely with Amy to continue to move the brand forward.”

Real Simple has maintained #1 advertising share-of-market for the past four years. The magazine is up 6.3% in PIB ad pages year-to-date, with the April issue up more than 11% year-over-year. The Real Simple Home and Lifestyle Network reached more than 4 million unique visitors in February, a 14% year-over-year increase, according to comScore.
