BONNIER CORP. APPOINTS SAM WHITE EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF MARLIN

WINTER PARK, Fla. (Feb. 8, 2018) Bonnier Corp. has appointed Sam White as editor-in-chief of Marlin, the leading media brand for big-game offshore fishing, it was announced today by editorial director Shawn Bean. White joined Marlin in 2015 as senior editor and has been the interim editor since November 2017.

In his new role, White is responsible for managing the Marlin brand across all channels — print, digital, video and social media — and overseeing its continued expansion. Sporting a solid core of affluent, dedicated print readers, Marlin continues to invest in the production value of the magazine while also reaching a younger audience through its digital and social platforms.

“Along with possessing all the bona fides required to lead the most respected big-game fishing magazine, Sam is hard-working and humble, which inspires hard work and humility in those around him,” Bean said. “In his short tenure, we've already seen his impact on Marlin, and look forward to what he has in store.”

Marlin is based in Bonnier Corp.’s Winter Park, Fla., headquarters. White lives in St. Petersburg, Fla., with his wife, Jessica.
