Partnership Includes Food Truck Tour @ Auburn, USC and UGA
And Southern Living’s Biggest Rivalry Digital Campaign

Birmingham, AL (September 16, 2014) – Now that college football season is underway, Cobblestone Bread Co. proudly announces its exclusive sponsorship of the first-ever Southern Living Tailgate Tour.  The partnership includes three food truck stops and culinary contests, as well as an impactful digital campaign.

The Southern Living Test Kitchen and Cobblestone Bread Co. food truck are travelling to three SEC college towns—Auburn University, University of South Carolina and University of Georgia—on Saturday game days, beginning October 4.  Southern Living Test Kitchen professionals will compete against Cobblestone Bread Co.’s Chef Nathan Lippy in a “Sandwich Smackdown,” complete with live recipe demonstrations, free samples, and a co-branded social sharing photo booth.

Here is the full tour schedule:

October 4, 2014: LSU @ Auburn University

  • Location: Gay Street Parking Lot (Downtown Auburn)
  • Sandwich Smackdown: Nathan Lippy vs. Southern Living’s Robby Melvin

November 1, 2014: University of Tennessee @ University of South Carolina

  • Location: South Carolina State Fairgrounds (across from the stadium)
  • Sandwich Smackdown: Nathan Lippy vs. Southern Living’s Julie Grimes

November 29, 2014: Georgia Tech @ University of Georgia

  • Location: The Classic Center (Downtown Athens)
  • Sandwich Smackdown: Nathan Lippy vs. Southern Living’s Vanessa Rocchio

The competing Southern Living Test Kitchen professionals are Test Kitchen Director Robby Melvin, Senior Food Editor Julie Grimes, and Test Kitchen Professional Vanessa Rocchio. Chef Lippy, a graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, hosts and produces culinary content for Cobblestone Bread Co., The HUNGRY Channel, Wholly Guacamole and NathanLippy.TV.  Southern Living will serve Buffalo Chicken Meatball Sliders on Cobblestone Bread Co. Windy City Hot Dog Buns; Chef Nathan Lippy will prepare a Chicken Bruschetta with Mozzarella and Balsamic Glaze on Cobblestone Co. White Grinder Sub Rolls. The recipes are available on

The partnership also includes the Southern Living’s Biggest Rivalry digital campaign.  Southern Living editors chose the top 26 college football rivalries across the region for readers and fans to vote for The South’s Biggest Rivalry. Voting is now open until September 30, 2014 on  One vote per day is counted toward the final tally. Votes placed on Saturdays count twice toward the final tally. Vote daily for a chance to win $2,000.
