The Economist Announces "Timekeeper" A New Feature That Enables Readers to Create a Personal Reading List

THE ECONOMIST ANNOUNCES "TIMEKEEPER" A NEW FEATURE THAT ENABLES READERS TO CREATE A PERSONAL READING LIST

(March 31, 2014) - Readers on Economist.com can now create and add articles to their own reading list by clicking the Timekeeper button found on articles and blog posts

Today The Economist launched a new feature called Timekeeper. The new bookmarking feature enables registered readers to save articles and blogs from Economist.com to a bookmarks page. This unique functionality allows users to save articles for later.

Timekeeper includes a button on The Economist article and blog pages as well as a saved bookmarks page where readers can manage the items they have saved. A link to access the saved bookmarks page is in the "More from The Economist" masthead menu as well as in the global footer.

"Reading habits are evolving and we want to make sure we're introducing tools and features that help our readers stay informed with Economist content on their own terms in their own time", said Audra Martin, VP of Economist digital advertising, who added, "The Timekeeper feature is a winning example of bringing additional functionality to our readers."
