FORBES MEDIA EXPANDS SAN FRANCISCO PRESENCE WITH MOVE TO NEW OFFICE

NEW YORK (July 13, 2017) – Forbes Media announced today that it has moved its West Coast employees to a larger office space located at 101 Mission Street in San Francisco’s SOMA neighborhood. Forbes will occupy the entire 12th Floor with 11,000 square feet.

The office has high ceilings, an open-style seating plan, five state-of-the-art multi-media meeting rooms, several collaborative work spaces and fantastic views of the city and Bay Bridge. Its open space design concept, furniture and color scheme replicates the look and feel of Forbes Media’s New Jersey headquarters.

Forbes has been expanding its presence and staff in San Francisco over the past year in an effort to better capitalize on integrated marketing and sales opportunities and to expand its coverage of Silicon Valley and the larger tech community.

Forbes Media Chief Revenue Officer Mark Howard recently made San Francisco his home. SVP of Content Partnerships and Strategy Ann Marinovich, who oversees Forbes’ BrandVoice (content marketing) business, moved to San Francisco a year ago. The team has been adding positions for BrandVoice, integrated marketing and ad operations. The editorial team in San Francisco now stands as the second largest editorial hub behind Forbes’ headquarters in Jersey City.

Forbes’ San Francisco employees were previously located in an office building at 250 Montgomery Street.

“The move to a larger office accompanied with the transfer of several senior executives to San Francisco emphasizes our belief in growth potential for the West Coast and the Asia-Pacific,” said Mike Federle, President and Chief Operating Officer of Forbes Media.

Forbes was represented by Avison Young in the lease transaction. The landlord is Harvest Properties. The new Forbes space was designed by Huntsman Architectural Group of San Francisco and built out by BCCI Construction Company.
