Aerie to Announce Additional #AerieReal Role Model at Summit on November 13.

NEW YORK CITY, November 2, 2017 — Glamour announced today that Aerie will sponsor a range of programming at this year’s Women of the Year Summit. The focus of the program will be on body positivity, inclusivity, and empowerment—three things that both Glamour and Aerie champion daily. Aerie is also set to announce an additional #AerieReal Role Model who will join Iskra Lawrence in promoting the AerieREAL message.

· Aerie Global Brand President, Jennifer Foyle hosts a power-breakfast where influential millennial women in fashion, entertainment, business, and advocacy can network and exchange ideas.

· Iskra Lawrence, #AerieReal Role Model since February of 2016, will join Foyle to announce the expansion of the #AerieReal Role Model team.

· On behalf of Aerie’s nonprofit partner NEDA (National Eating Disorders Association), Lawrence, an ambassador for NEDA, and Glamour’s own, Lauren Chan will lead an interactive workshop, “The Art of the Body Clap Back.” The workshop will focus on the importance of body confidence and how to resist appearance ideal and perfectionism. This conversation is inspired by The Body Project, an evidence-based body-confidence program for girls from NEDA.

The theme of the Women of the Year Summit this year is “We Are All Leaders,” and will showcase a diverse range of powerful talks and dialogues, interactive workshops, and compelling performances with one message: that every woman can change her life and our world. This year’s most iconic women will speak with truth, power, and humor on deeply personal issues such as career advancement, mental health, identity, fashion, reproductive rights, sexual violence, racial justice, LGBTQ rights, and much more. This Aerie-specific programming is important and necessary, and Glamour is proud to have such an innovative partner in getting out the body-positivity message.
