GLAMOUR AND CLINIQUE LAUNCH “THE MAKING OF ME”

DIGITAL VIDEO SERIES PROFILES THE INSPIRATIONAL JOURNEYS OF FIVE REMARKABLE WOMEN: JENNIFER FISHER, NIKKI M. JAMES, CHRISTINA TOSI, DAPHNE OZ, AND NATALIA OBERTI NOGUERA

NEW YORK, NY, August 19, 2014: Today Glamour launched The Making of Me, presented by Clinique, a digital series celebrating the inspirational journeys of Jennifer Fisher, Nikki M. James, Christina Tosi, Daphne Oz, and Natalia Oberti Noguera. The series tells the remarkable stories of each woman’s pursuit of her passions, revealing her motivations, obstacles, and revelations along the way.

Glamour believes that there is nothing more interesting than the story of a woman who’s done things her own way,” said Glamour’s Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive. “The Making of Me showcases five such women – all game changers in their fields whose stories we are thrilled to bring to our viewers.  We are so pleased that Clinique has come on board to sponsor this compelling series.”

“We hope this series inspires viewers to make bold choices in their lives and helps women from different backgrounds, facing all kinds of challenges and obstacles, feel empowered and encouraged that anything is possible if they commit themselves,” says Agnes Landau, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for Clinique. “Glamour’s ethos of inspiring confidence and courage, and celebrating women’s stories, their choices in life, and their innumerable facets, is a perfect complement to Clinique’s #StartBetter, which launched May 20 and celebrates fresh starts, new beginnings, and bold steps forward.”

The series debuts on August 19 with the story of jeweler Jennifer Fisher, who shares her journey from Hollywood wardrobe stylist to designer. Fisher narrates her emotional battle against cancer, how she discovered the love of her life, and her miraculous journey to motherhood. Fisher conveys how her initial search to find a unique piece of jewelry to commemorate the birth of her son led to the unexpected emergence of her business, which is now available at luxury retailers around the world and worn by celebrities like Uma Thurman and Jennifer Aniston.

The following additional episodes will debut weekly on Glamour’s video channel after the launch of The Making of Me:
