Mark Ruffalo, Ian Somerhalder, and Victor Cruz to be Honored at the 2015 Gentlemen’s Fund Reception


NEW YORK, NY – GQ publisher and chief revenue officer Howard Mittman and The Gentlemen’s Fund are proud to announce that the eighth annual Gentlemen’s Fund will recognize a handful of modern gentlemen who champion some of today’s most essential causes:


Mark Ruffalo, for his support of Water Defense and The Solutions Project

Ian Somerhalder for his support of Ian Somerhalder Foundation

Victor Cruz, for his support of The Victor Cruz Foundation


The men will receive Ambassador Awards presented by Nautica at this year’s reception, which will take place on Thursday, October 22, at GQ’s The Gent, hosted by Nick Cannon. In addition to the annual awards reception, GQ will kick off the celebration of our first-ever  Concert for a Cause on October 12, with a performance by Jason Derulo at The Gent. All proceeds from ticket sales will be given to charity. 


The evening’s Leader Awards, presented by Movado, will recognize David Flink, founder and Chief Empowerment Officer at Eye to Eye which helps to build self-esteem and social skills among kids with learning disabilities though mentorship and the arts; Marc B. Goldberg, MD, vice president of Healing the Children New Jersey, which provides access to medical care and services for nearly 1,000 children in need per year, and co-founder and executive director David Morton of The Juniper Fund, that provides assistance to individuals, families, and communities in high risk and underserved mountainous areas.


The Leader Awards recipients were chosen by GQ’s advisory panel:  Mike Marriner of Roadtrip Nation, Bryn Mooser of, and Ryan Nece of the Ryan Nece Foundatiion.
