NEW YORK, May 31, 2016 – Hearst Autos, a unit of Hearst Magazines composed of consumer brands Car and Driver and Road & Track, business-to-business digital media solutions company Jumpstart Automotive Group, and Veretech Holdings, Inc., announced today that Ryan Mannion has been named chief technology officer. The announcement was made by Hearst Chief Technology Officer Philip Wiser and Hearst Autos President Nick Matarazzo, to whom Mannion will report. He starts immediately, and is based in Atlanta.

With synergistic brands that address the key B2B and B2C audiences of automotive manufacturers, dealers and car buyers, Hearst Autos provides engaging content, powerful data, consumer insights and comprehensive marketing solutions, with offices in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit and Atlanta.

He will be an integral part of Hearst Autos’ further growth as we continue to innovate, educate and guide automotive buyers through exclusive information and content.”

Mannion was the technical co-founder and chief technology officer of Politico, from its launch in 2007 to 2014, leading a team responsible for product and technology strategy and vision, designing, architecting and developing the website’s CMS, publishing system, analytics, video and all front- and back-end support. Most recently, Mannion was senior vice president, head of product and technology at OZY, a daily digital magazine, where he led a global product and technology team, as well as the ideation, design and execution of the site and its suite of mobile apps.
