JOE CARNEY JOINS THE PLAYERS’ TRIBUNE AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES AND BRAND PARTNERSHIPS

Joe Carney joins The Players’ Tribune (TPT) as Senior Vice President of Sales and Brand Partnerships, it was announced today by Jaymee Messler, President of The Players’ Tribune.

In his new role, Carney will oversee sales and brand partnerships, and will work closely with advertising agencies and brands to create multiplatform content and custom advertising experiences. Additionally, Carney will work with the executive team on TPT’s overall business strategy.

Prior to joining The Players’ Tribune, Carney served as Vice President of Sales for Major League Baseball, leading a team that managed sponsorship and media sales across MLB Network, MLB.com and off-line channels. Before that, Carney spent five years at the National Football League, where he served as Director of NFL.com Media Sales, playing an influential role in developing the monetization strategy for NFL.com.
