POPULAR SCIENCE TAPS SUSAN MURCKO AS FEATURES EDITOR

New York, NY (January 10, 2017) Susan Murcko will join the staff of Popular Science as Features Editor, it was announced by Editor-in-Chief Joe Brown. Her appointment is effective January 23rd.

Murcko joins Popular Science from WIRED where she served as Senior Editor, developing and editing long-form features for both print and web, as well as running the website’s Security channel. While at WIRED, she worked with senior staff writers Steven Levy, Jessi Hempel, and Andy Greenberg on major features and cover stories, shaped the inaugural 2015 WIRED Next List package, and edited contributors including Charles C. “Susan is one of the best editors I’ve ever worked with,” says Brown. “And I’ve yet to meet a colleague of hers who doesn’t feel the same. I am so excited to welcome her and her brain full of world-class ideas to our growing team.”

Prior to working at WIRED, Murcko spent time in senior editing roles at Condé Nast Portfolio, Details, Rolling Stone, and other major brands.
