Award Winning Marketing and Advertising Executive joins Meredith Corporation

NEW YORK, N.Y. (September 17, 2014) – Meredith Corporation (NYSE:MDP), the leading media and marketing company serving more than 100 million American women, today announced that award-winning advertising and marketing executive Tim O’Connor has been named a Managing Director within the Meredith Corporate Sales Group.

In this new role, O’Connor will work closely with Meredith’s corporate marketing team to further expand the company’s marketing footprint with leading beauty, fashion and retail advertisers. He will report to Michael Brownstein, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, Meredith Corporate Sales and Marketing.

“Tim brings years of dynamic experience in the beauty, retail, luxury and fashion markets with an impressive record of generating new revenue sources, driving sales, and developing highly successful client partnerships in both the print and digital landscapes,” says Brownstein. “He has significantly grown business in these areas for several of the world’s leading media companies and we are looking forward to new opportunities he will create for our branded media across platforms.”

Among his numerous awards, O’Connor was named “Sales Director of the Year” by MIN in 2011. He most recently served as Associate Publisher at InStyle, where he led the sales team through four consecutive years as the #1 market share leader in the beauty/fashion category. He also developed numerous successful content and sponsorship programs for the InStyle brand.

Previously, O’Connor held Associate Publisher and Advertising Director positions at Vogue, and served as Associate Publisher of Glamour while at Condé Nast Media. Prior to his time at Condé Nast, O’Connor served as Associate Publisher of CosmoGIRL! at Hearst Corporation, and held several advertising and publishing positions at Hachette Filipacchi within HFM Corporate Sales, Premiere and George magazines.
