Traditional Southern Comfort Food Inspired By Southern Living’s Kitchen Go On Sale April 24 in Select Stores


New York, NY (April 5, 2017)– Today, Time Inc.’s (NYSE: TIME) Southern Living announced the official launch of new ready-to-eat meals called Southern Living Kitchen, which will go on sale in select stores April 24. Each offering is inspired by well-loved Southern Living recipes, and can be ready in less than two minutes.

Debut entrees will be Smoked Pulled Pork with Gouda Mac N’ Cheese, Home-style Beef Stew with Mushroom Sauce and Vegetables, and Cajun Style Rice & Sausage with Uncured Ham, Jalapeño Sausage and Vegetables.

“Great-tasting food is part of Southern Living's DNA, and we’re excited to bring these delicious meals to families across the South,” said Southern Living Editor-in-Chief Sid Evans. “These recipes are inspired by some of our favorite comfort food classics.”

Southern Living Kitchen meals will be available for $5.99-$7.99 starting April 24 at select HEB, Kroger (Houston and Dallas), Schnucks, Amazon Fresh and Market Streets stores. Southern Living Kitchen will continue to roll out in additional stores and plans to expand the product line this fall with new entrée items.
