The Saga Continues

(New York, NY) – TV Guide Magazine’s new cover, on stands today, features Masi Oka and Zachary Levi, stars of the upcoming NBC series Heroes Reborn.

Five years after the cancellation of NBC’s hit series Heroes, the show is back as Heroes Reborn, a dark new saga of apocalyptic proportions. The 13-episode supersaga, which premieres on September 24, begins five years after the end of Heroes, and will feature new castmembers plus several veterans of the original series, including Oka. TV Guide Magazine traveled to the Toronto set for an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the new show.

Creator and executive producer Tim Kring notes the differences between the original series and the reboot:  “Heroes took place in a world that was dangerous and complicated, but it carried a message of hope and world consciousness. Heroes Reborn is something else altogether.  Our heroes have been forced into hiding just when they are needed most. There is an end-of-the-world event coming. We’re talking extinction.”
