Baseball America Twitter Feed Recognized as Best on the Net by the Daily Beast

DURHAM, N.C. (June 19, 2013) – Newsweek’s The Daily Beast recently announced its picks for “the most relevant, entertaining, original, and—in some cases—overlooked websites and Twitter feeds,” and only one sports media company account made the cut – Baseball America’s Twitter feed @BaseballAmerica.  The account has become a favorite of baseball fanatics around the world and is close to achieving 100,000 followers.

"Twitter and other digital channels have been invaluable tools for Baseball America,” explained Baseball America Director of Editorial and Operations Will Lingo. “We're happy The Daily Beast recognized us as the only sports media account among all the must-read Twitter follows they chose, and we'll continue to find new and interesting ways to use Twitter and all of our social outlets to connect and engage with readers."

Baseball America is proving to be a powerful player in the realm of sports news. It has a strong social media presence, print and digital magazines, and a newly launched website ( which is experiencing explosive growth.
