Ford Trucks Partners with InterMedia Outdoors for Groundbreaking Multimedia Deal
    Ford F-Series Brand Estimated to Reach Millions of Outdoor Enthusiasts Monthly
                            Across IMO’s Leading Digital, TV & Print Properties
    IMO to Produce Branded TV Series to Appear Exclusively on Sportsman Channel

New York, NY (July 16, 2013) – Ford Motor Company and InterMedia Outdoors, the world’s largest outdoor media company, announced today they have committed to a multimedia partnership that centers around the production of a new custom adventure TV series “The Outfitters Built by Ford F-Series”. The new 13-episode half-hour series premiered July 4th on Sportsman Channel and includes expansive promotional assets, including an original website, social presence, consumer promotion, and print and digital advertising inventory across IMO’s market-leading fishing and hunting properties. In the aggregate, Ford will reach millions of outdoor enthusiasts each month.  The promotional campaign kicks-off this month. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

As the world’s largest outdoor media company, InterMedia Outdoors serves the lifestyle needs of the 80 million American sportsmen and women.  The company publishes 15 leading outdoor magazines, has the world’s largest network of outdoor websites, and is a leading television producer in the category. IMO sister company Sportsman Channel airs the new series exclusively.

IMO was the originator and creative force behind the idea but is working hand-in-hand with Ford’s Agency of Record, Team Detroit, and Ford Trucks to ensure quality brand integration across all touch points.  With input from Ford, IMO took lead in producing the TV series, building the website, developing the mobile application, directing the digital and social strategy and more.

“The Outfitters Built by Ford F-Series” is a new custom-branded adventure series that takes viewers behind-the-scenes for an inside look at the wild, often dangerous, and always thrilling lives of the toughest and best guides, captains and outfitters in the hunting and fishing worlds.  From the bluewater flats of the Florida Keys to the snow-capped mountains of Alaska, “The Outfitters Built by Ford F-Series” provides a unique window into the world of professional guides, their gear and crew, and how they make their living under the wildest conditions. The 13-episode, half-hour custom series was created in collaboration with Ford and features Ford Trucks and branded content.  The show is hosted by Sportsman Channel’s world renowned outdoor experts including Captain Conway Bowman, Fred Eichler, Haley Heath and Huntley Ritter. With the debut of the TV series, “The Outfitters Built by Ford F-Series” promotional campaign began with the launch of TheFordOutfitters.Com a comprehensive multimedia website with branded, interactive content and applications for today’s outdoor enthusiasts. Additionally, a series of print spreads will begin running across select IMO titles, like Fly Fisherman, Petersen's Hunting and In-Fisherman, as well as on-air video vignettes and promotions, social campaigns and a consumer promotion.
