Saveur Is Bonnier Corp.'s 2013 Brand of the Year
At Bonnier Corp.'s inaugural Excellence Awards on February 4 at the Orlando (Fla.) Museum of Art, CEO Dave Freygang named Saveur "Brand of the Year" for an overall 2013 bottom line that was +36% versus 2012. Credit to publisher Kristin Cohen and her team for producing +11.3% ad revenues and +4.8% ad pages.
Sports Illustrated to Celebrate 50th Anniversary of Swimsuit Issue with Book
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful is a 304-page book featuring more than 500 photos of bathing beauties from across the decades.
The Atlantic, and Politico Magazine Launch Individual Year-Long Tech/Infrastructure Series
Atlantic Cities, a standalone site from Atlantic Media that focuses on innovation and urban issues, will launch a series focused on transportation called “The Future of Transportation.” The nine-month special series is supported by The Rockefeller Foundation and led by Cities editors Sommer Mathis and Eric Jaffe, and will “examine the full extent of America’s transportation challenges and explore how U.S. cities are reinventing the way we navigate them.”
Net-A-Porter Launches Magazine
Net-a-porter.com’s women’s print title, the long-awaited Porter, will be unveiled today with Gisele Bündchen gracing the front cover, photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, and styled by Alex White.
