The MPA has released its first report on social media activity of its member magazine brands. The report, which the MPA calls the Magazine Media 360° Social Media Report, is based on data provided by SocialFlow.
National Geographic, Forbes, Vogue, TIME and More Lead in the MPA's New Social Media Rankings
Included in the top 10 magazines in terms of "likes" and followers across all four combined networks are National Geographic (with 56.2 million), Time (20.1 million), The Economist (18.3 million), Vogue (16.8 million), People (12.5 million), Elle (9.6 million) and Forbes (8.6 million.)

Time Inc., the nation's largest magazine publisher, has struck a deal making Outbrain the exclusive external provider of recommended stories for Time Inc.'s websites, including Time.com and People.com. Until now, Time Inc. had worked with a mix of the companies whose ubiquitous content-recommendation widgets help push traffic around the web. The pact is worth more than $100 million to Time Inc.
Meredith Corp. Buys Mywedding.com
Meredith has snapped up mywedding.com. The site helps soon-to-be-wed couples plan their weddings with free planning tools and wedding-centric content that connects consumers with local, national and international wedding professionals and venues.
Meredith Cooks Up Allrecipes Wares
Meredith Corporation has signed a licensing agreement with Clipper to manufacture a line of cookware, bakeware and kitchen gadgets under the Allrecipes brand. The deal marks Allrecipes’ first product line, which will debut at the International Home and Housewares show in March 2015.

We've believed for a long time that the postal service's costs they say they incur are out of whack. Megan (Brennan) is going to be well-equipped to step up the postal service's efforts in that regard."

Tim Neville of SKI Magazine reports: "To Get to the world’s most exotic ski resort you must first get to Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea, where, after the People’s Army checks your papers and records your smartphone’s serial number, you will end up at the Yanggakdo, one of perhaps eight hotels in this city of 2.5 million people where foreigners are allowed to stay. The hotel is grayish blue and lords over a horn-shaped island. It has 47 floors and a thousand outdated rooms. About 30 of those rooms are occupied today."
