The May 2017 Magazine Media 360° Brand Audience Report Is Here
MPA – The Association of Magazine Media has released the latest Brand Audience Report demonstrating that audiences continue to consume and demand content across platforms. Most notably, for the third consecutive six-month period, the GfK MRI study indicates year-over-year growth in the Print+Digital audience. The total Magazine Media 360° audience for May 2017 is up +2.3% versus the same month a year ago. By platform, Print+Digital is up +3.7%, Web (Desktop/Laptop) is down -9.0%, Mobile is up +1.4%, and Video is up +48.1%. May’s results are consistent with the trends in recent months. Both the Print and Video platforms show growth versus a year ago; Web audiences continue to decline in favor of other platforms; and Mobile Web has flattened as it nears saturation.

“The MPA’s IMAG community prides itself on sharing and learning from one another,” said Andy Clurman, President and CEO of Active Interest Media and Chair of the IMAG Financial Benchmarking Study. “As a board, we thought a benchmarking study would be the ideal way to provide member companies with key metrics to better understand how their performance compares to similar companies.” The survey was conducted in the last quarter of 2016 by Mazars USA, a global accounting firm. Only open to members of the IMAG community, participants received two sets of detailed results: one for all respondents and one broken down by revenue tier.
