Attendees to Include Members of SI's All-New 'Fashionable 50' List, SI Swimsuit Models Hannah Davis and Chanel Iman, Other Top Names in Sports & Fashion, Including Swin Cash, Victor Cruz, Darrelle Revis and Special Guest Michael Strahan

NEW YORK, NY (April 6, 2016) Time Inc.'s (NYSE:TIME) Sports Illustrated Group will celebrate the most stylish people in all of sports with a star-studded event and the launch of a cross-platform editorial franchise entitled, "The Fashionable 50," it was announced today. The event takes place on April 12th in NYC following SI's unveiling of the inaugural Fashionable 50 list set to run across all SI platforms beginning April 11th.

The editors of Sports Illustrated are teaming up with experts from across the worlds of sports and fashion to select the world's 50 most fashionable athletes, both current and former, male and female. Among the panel of experts consulting on the list are professional stylists, fashion executives, fashion journalists from outlets like InStyle and, fashion models and other influencers in the industry. Of the 50 athletes featured on the list, SI will choose a top 10 ranked selection of fashion MVP finalists, including the most fashionable athlete in sports.

Sponsored exclusively by JCPenney, the Fashionable 50 party in NYC will celebrate the intersecting worlds of sports and fashion while honoring this year's list. The evening will include a red carpet entrance featuring select members of the Fashionable 50, fashion models and other celebrities. Among the expected attendees are 2016 Swimsuit models Hannah Davis and Chanel Iman, current NFL players Victor Cruz and Darrelle Revis, WNBA player Swin Cash and NFL legend, media personality and entrepreneur, Michael Strahan. Strahan's debut clothing line, Collection by Michael Strahan, offers men tailored clothing, dress shirts, neckwear and accessories that will be featured throughout the event and available exclusively at JCPenney.

"It is, to our mind, an unprecedented cultural event in which sports, long on the leading edge of style, takes center stage in the fashion conversation," said Sports Illustrated Managing Editor Chris Stone.

"It seems that every day, another athlete is joining the ranks of the style pioneers, while the post-game press conference continues to look more and more like a fashion show," added Jon Tuck, VP Sales, SI Group. "Sports Illustrated is excited to immerse itself in this crossover category, and JCPenney, with the Collection by Michael Strahan, has been the perfect partner for the launch of this new franchise."

The inaugural Fashionable 50 list will launch on on Monday, April 11, and will be featured on three special flip covers of the magazine's NFL Draft Preview double issue hitting newsstands on April 13. In addition to the list, the editorial package will include a series of behind-the-scenes videos of the Fashionable 50, commentary from SI and its panel of experts, a special roundtable of SI Swimsuit models discussing the most fashionable people in sports and more.
