Magazine Media Industry Issues
MPA’s Washington, D.C. office is the voice of the magazine media industry on Capitol Hill, in federal agencies and in all 50 states. Our office executes a multi-level approach in advancing and defending the advocacy priorities of the magazine media industry. This approach includes direct lobbying and educational efforts on Capitol Hill, legal and regulatory advocacy efforts, and through partnerships with coalitions and like-minded groups in Washington D.C. and in state capitals. Our mission is to effectively and proactively represent the various media and advertising interests of our industry while serving as a resource to our members navigating the political and regulatory landscape.
The Washington staff, composed of experienced governmental affairs, legislative, regulatory, and economic specialists, is augmented by outside counsel and consultants. The office works closely with MPA's member companies and with associations representing various media and advertising interests.
