David Nussbaum is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of America's Test Kitchen, the leading food and cooking media brand in the US. ATK features two top-rated TV shows, two highly regarded magazines, a subscription-based web site, an online cooking school, and a vibrant cookbook business. Most recently America’s Test Kitchen launched their Kids brand, which features kid-tested and kid-approved content, including cookbooks, board books, picture books, video programming and a soon to be launched subscription kids cooking kit.
During his time at ATK, Nussbaum has helped to transform ATK into an innovative digital food, media entertainment, and technology company. He engineered ATK’s move to a new, state of the art facility at Boston’s Seaport, complete with a 15,000 square foot kitchen, has grown the workforce by nearly 20 percent and accelerated and expanded ATK’s creative content offerings across new and multiple platforms, including the launch of America’s Test Kitchen Kids.
Prior to his role ATK, he served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of F+W Media, from 2008 to October 2015. And before that, Nussbaum was an operating partner at ABRY Partners, one of the top Private Equity companies in the world. Going back even further, Nussbaum was the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Penton Media.
Nussbaum has served on boards for both Summit Business Networks (now part of American Lawyer Media) and Thomas Nelson Publishing (now a division of Harper Collins).
Currently, Nussbaum is on the advisory board of Compound Ventures, a leading NYC based early stage technology venture fund and is on the advisory board of Boston University's School of Communications. Nussbaum is also on the board of The Association of Magazine Media (MPA).
Nussbaum was also the founder and president of the Foundation for the Advancement of Student Technology (FAST) in Roslyn, NY and the former co-President of the Roslyn Booster Basketball Club.
