O’Shaughnessy Named Senior Social Media Manager

New York, NY—February 15, 2019— Michaela O’Shaughnessy will join Glamour as senior social media manager. Her appointment reflects the brand’s new digital-first strategy and growing mobile audience under editor-in-chief Samantha Barry, and is effective as of February 19.

“I’ve been a big fan of Michaela’s work at Teen Vogue for a number of years,” says editor in chief Samantha Barry. “She’s a brilliant digital storyteller whose authentic voice will resonate with the Glamour woman. Michaela is smart, creative and ambitious and we’re excited to welcome her to our team.” Glamour boasts 16.5 million users across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube, providing women with sharp storytelling and smart advice on the platforms they use most.

O’Shaughnessy will oversee the strategy and visual storytelling across Glamour social channels including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. She joins the brand from Teen Vogue, where she was social media manager. O'Shaughnessy will report to director of audience and social, Lindsay Sansone.

Previously, O’Shaughnessy was social media manager for MTV News. Originally from Ireland, she is now based in New York City.
